A GROUP of high school students showed up in a cemetery right after their moving up ceremony as a tribute to their dead classmate in Sta. Fe, Leyte on Tuesday, April 2.
"We miss you Shanley Mae Panzo. I cried again when I called your name during the giving of Certificate of Completion," said Aiene Mercolita, a teacher of Panzo at Sta. Fe National High School.
"Your classmates really love you so much," she added.
During their visit, the students lit some candles, offered a prayer, and sang their school hymn for their classmate who died in an accident in February.
"Thank you Grade 10 Boyle. You did your promise to really visit her after our moving up ceremony," wrote Mercolita who turned emotional in her social media post.
In her posted video, the young students who were still on their school uniform also shared some lighter moment with each other as they visited the tomb of their classmate.
Panzo, 15, was drowned while swimming at the beach in Bislig, Tanauan, last February 10. (SunStar Philippines)
