JOINT POLICE operatives arrested on Thursday, December 24, 2020, the top 5 most wanted person of Inopacan, Leyte in Bohol.
Accused, 24-year-old Leonardo Penaranda Jr. was facing multiple warrants of arrest for robbery, direct assault upon an agent of a person in authority with attempted homicide, and for violation of Article 226-A of Revised Penal Code.
Operating units from Pres. Carlos P. Garcia Municipal Police Station, led by Lieutenant Justeofino Hinlayagan, and Inopacan Municipal Police Station, led by Lieutenant Daisy Hallasgo, arrested Penaranda around 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, Pitogo, Bohol.
The warrants were issued by Honorable Ephrem Suarez, executive judge of Regional Trial Court-Branch 18 in Hilongos, Leyte, and Honorable Ma. Cleope Militante, presiding judge of Municipal Trial Circuit Court in Baybay City, police said in the report.
The arrested person is now detained at Pres. Carlos P. Garcia Municipal Police Station prior to turn-over to the court of origin.
