“All other LGUs not mentioned are under Alert Level 2,” said the regional health department, citing the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

“Let us continue to be champions of our ‘Bida Solusyon’ plus campaigns, get vaccinated and boosted for maximum protection against coronavirus disease (Covid-19),” it added.

The classification of the IATF is based on the following criteria: case transmission is low and decreasing; total bed utilization is less than 50 percent; 70 percent of the area’s target population has been fully vaccinated; and 70 percent of the area’s A2 or senior citizens population have been fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, DOH Eastern Visayas reported that 73.4 percent of the region's target population are now vaccinated with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccines.

“The region is racing towards strengthening community protection for everyone. As alert level systems are de-escalated in some parts of the region, we continue to encourage more individuals eligible for vaccination to get vaccinated while vaccines are free and available,” it said.
