P136-M 'shabu' bound for Eastern Visayas seized at Matnog port

POLICE intercepted 20 kilograms of suspected "shabu" worth P136 million reportedly bound for Eastern Visayas on Thursday, January 16, at the port of Matnog in Sorsogon.

Joint operatives from Matnog Municipal Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bicol arrested two suspected pushers identified as Irish Yap Dela Pena and Jose Lani Abarido Racaza around 10 a.m., Thursday.

Initial reports show the drugs were placed inside a luggage while the suspects were onboard a passenger bus from Metro Manila bound for Eastern Visayas.

The suspects will be facing charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Sunstar Philippines)
