A 55-YEAR-OLD pastor was shot and killed while he was jogging in Barangay Labangbaybay, Tagapul-an, Samar Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Police identified the victim as Dioscoro Tan Jr., pastor of Forever Prays Church based in Tagapul-an.
In an initial investigation, authorities said a still unidentified gunman appeared at the descending and grassy portion of the barangay road while the victim and his wife were jogging around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim died on the spot after being hit in the different parts of his body.
The gunman fled after the incident, police said.
Authorities are working to determine a motive in the shooting. (SunStar Philippines)
