Third Rumohr clan female member shot dead in Calbayog

FOR three years in a row, another female member of the Rumohr clan in Calbayog City, Samar, was killed by still unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen Sunday morning, February 2, 2020.

Businesswoman Ann Rumohr-Dahlen, 46, was found dead inside her fruit and vegetable store along Magsaysay Boulevard extension, Barangay East Awang in the city.

Initial police investigation disclosed that one of the suspects went inside the store and shot the victim once, hitting on her head.

After the incident, the suspects fled onboard a single motorcycle heading towards west direction.

Rumohr-Dalen was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead-on-arrival by the attending physician.

Police are investigating the incident.

On April 15, 2019, the victim’s aunt Dr. Vicky Rumohr, 69, was killed by unknown assailant while she was driving her pick-up vehicle on her way home along Magsaysay Boulevard extension.

Another relative, Filipino-American Catherine Rumohr-Johnson, was shot dead by a lone gunman on February 23, 2018 while she was having her morning routine walk in the city.

Last year, the family of the slain dentist offered a P3-million reward to anyone who could give a solid information behind the death of their matriarch.

The victims were residents of Rumohr compound at Barangay Rawis, Calbayog City. (Sunstar Philippines)
