THE magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Cebu on September 30, 2025, claimed over 70 lives — most of them children — and displaced thousands of families in northern Cebu. Among the dead were 11 residents of Barangay Binabag, Bogo City, buried in a landslide that swallowed their homes.
