
SOLDIERS from the 101st Infantry Battalion (101IB) participated in a community clean-up drive on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Luuk, Sulu. This effort reinforces the battalion's commitment to strong civil-military relations.
The 1102nd Infantry Brigade (1102Bde) reported that the clean-up took place in the villages of Tubig Putih and Kan-Mindus, promoting a healthier environment.
Village chairpersons Rudzma Sabbarani of Tubig Putih and Patta Bangalan of Kan-Mindus actively joined the initiative, along with members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
These collaborative efforts not only made communities cleaner but also showcased the shared dedication of the military and local government to the well-being of Luuk residents.
Recently, 21IB troops also joined community clean-up drives in Tiptipon village, Panglima Estino, and Tandu-Tandu, Panamao, Sulu which included village officials, residents, and members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams. The purpose of these activities is to maintain order, safety, and environmental cleanliness. (SunStar Zamboanga)
