AUTHORITIES have arrested two high-value individuals (HVIs) and seized P442,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police said Monday, March 17, 2025.
The police identified the arrested HVI suspects as alias James, 28, a construction worker; and alias Muner, 22.
Both the arrested suspects are residents of Sta. Catalina village, Zamboanga City.
The police said the two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust at 6:39 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in a motel room in Canelar village, Zamboanga City.
Seized from James and Muner were 65 grams of shabu worth P442,000, and two bills of P1,000 boodle money topped with one genuine P200 marked money.
They were detained at the detention facility of the Zamboanga City Police Station 11 and the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the Zamboanga City Forensic Unit-9 for laboratory examination.
The police said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. (SunStar Zamboanga)
