

THE Army's 6th Infantry Division (6ID) has effected changes in the leaderships of its three key offices and units, the military said Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Included in the leadership changes are the 6th Division Training School (6DTS), the 6th Military Intelligence Battalion (6MIB), and the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training of the division (OG8).
Installed as the new commandant of 6DTS was Colonel Guillermo Mabute Jr., who succeeded Colonel Roberto Breboneria.
Lieutenant Colonel Mark Carlo Laygo was designated as the acting commanding officer of 6MIB, taking over from Colonel Alex Salcedo.
Salcedo, in turn, has been appointed as the new chief of OG8, succeeding Mabute.
Major General Donald Gumiran, 6ID ad Joint Task Force (JTF)-Central commander, spearheaded the Joint Turnover of Command and Change of Chief of Office Ceremonies held Monday, August 4, at the Officers' Clubhouse, in Camp Siongco, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
"Let us remember that in our profession, titles may change -- but what defines us is character, competence, and commitment," Gumiran stressed in his message during the joint activity.
