
THE Army’s 6th Infantry Division (6ID) is deploying additional officers and enlisted personnel to its different units, strengthening the force as the May 2025 election approaches.
To be deployed are 37 newly commissioned Second Lieutenants comprising of 30 males and seven females, who belong to the Pre-Deployment Training Class 03-2024 and 100 privates who graduated from the Infantry Orientation Training Class 01-2024.
Colonel Roberto Breboneria, 6DTS commandant, said the newly commissioned Second Lieutenants comprising of 30 males and seven females, successfully completed the Pre-Deployment Training.
The training of the Second Lieutenants emphasized familiarization with the operational areas under the Joint Task Force (JTF)-Central.
The training culminated in the certification of the graduates, signifying their readiness for deployment.
The 6ID said the 45-day Infantry Orientation Training focused on equipping the new privates with fundamental skills through rigorous physical and mental exercises.
“This program prepared them to become skilled soldiers capable of defending and securing the country’s territory,” the 6ID said in a statement.
The 6ID said the joint closing ceremony of the newly commissioned Second Lieutenants and 100 new privates was held on Wednesday, January 15, at the headquarters of the 6th Division Training School (6DTS) in Semba village, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
Brigadier General Nasser Lidasan, 6ID assistant division commander, the keynote speaker in the joint closing ceremony, commended the privates for enduring the demanding months of military training and reminded them to uphold the values and lessons instilled by the training school.
Lidasan also lauded the newly commissioned Second Lieutenants for their commitment and readiness to serve. (SunStar Zamboanga)
