

IN A continuing push to secure lasting peace in Sulu, the 1103rd Infantry “Kalis” Brigade (1103Bde) of the Army’s 11th Infantry Division (11ID) conducted a Peace and Order Consultation in a village in the town of Talipao.
The 1103Bde said Thursday, April 2, the consultation was conducted in Lower Laus village together with the 41st Infantry Battalion (41IB).
The 1103Bde said the engagement, conducted Sunday, March 29, underscored the commitment of the Philippine Army to safeguarding communities by building partnerships at the grassroots level.
“Through open dialogue and active community participation, the initiative reinforced a shared resolve to protect gains in peace and prevent the resurgence of threats,” said 1103Bde.
The Kalis Brigade said residents and local leaders welcomed the initiative, highlighting the role of military presence in preserving stability in Lower Laus.
Village Chairperson Madjad Idjas said they appreciate the military’s commitment to maintaining peace.
“Because of their efforts, our village remains peaceful, and our people feel safe and secure,” Idjas said.
The 1103Bde said the consultation addressed security concerns and demonstrated unity between the military and the community.
The 1103Bde reaffirmed that peace is sustained when communities and security forces stand together.
