Cops arrest Lanao del Sur’s 7th most wanted person

LAWMEN have arrested the number seven most wanted person in Lanao del Sur following a seven-month intelligence-driven surveillance operation tracking down the whereabouts of the fugitive, the police said Friday, August 15.

Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) director, identified the arrested fugitive as alias Tingagun, a resident of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

De Guzman said Tingagun was arrested by joint police operation on Wednesday, August 13, in Purok Cinco, Barangay Nuebe, Malaybalay City.

Tingagun was arrested by joint team of policemen from Lanao del Sur and Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

De Guzman said Tingagun was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of frustrated murder with P200,000 recommended bail.

“The accused had gone into hiding upon learning of the issuance of the warrant. With the aid of information provided by concerned citizens, police operatives were able to locate and apprehend the suspect,” he added.

Tingagun is also listed as the number two most wanted person in Malaybalay City.

The arrested fugitive is now under the custody of Marantao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
