A KNOWN drug peddler was arrested in a law enforcement operation in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, police reported Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Romeo Macapaz, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) director, identified the suspect as alias Winnie, 45.
Macapaz stated that Winnie was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Monday, June 16, in Sarmiento village, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.
Authorities seized approximately 11 grams of suspected shabu, packed in three transparent plastic sachets, with an estimated value of P74,000. Additionally, one genuine P1,000 bill used as marked money and 49 photocopied P1,000 bills used as boodle money during the operation were recovered.
Macapaz said all confiscated evidence and the suspect were brought to the Parang Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
“This operation reflects our unwavering commitment to rid our communities of illegal drugs and criminality,” he said.
