AUTHORITIES have arrested a female drug peddler tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) and seized some P2.2 million worth of illegal drugs in Maguindanao del Norte, a top police official said Saturday, June 14, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Romeo Macapaz, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) director, identified the arrested HVI suspect as alias Saima.
Macapaz said Saima was arrested in a buy-bust operation Friday, June 13, in Sitio Sapad, Cabayuan village, Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte.
“She was apprehended after selling illegal drugs to a policeman who pretended to be a buyer,” Macapaz said.
He said seized from Saima were some 330.7 grams of suspected shabu packed in heat-sealed and knot-tied plastic sachets worth P2,248,760 and buy-bust money.
He said Saima and the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to Buldon Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Saima will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
