ZamboPen cop wins Miss Ganda Pulis 2018

POLICE Officer 1 (PO1) Madonna Gay Cajocon, representative of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula, has been crowned as Miss Ganda Pulis 2018 as she bested all the other participants across the country.

Cajocon is assigned with the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-9 (RMFB-9), the maneuver and combatant unit of the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula.

Chief Superintendent Billy Beltran, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said Cajocon was also awarded as Miss MX3, Miss Resorts Wear, Miss Mae Cosmetics, and Miss Above Aesthetics.

The other awards that Cajocon bagged included the Best Evening Gown and Best in Ethnic Attire. She is on her fourth year in the police service.

Cajocon received her crown, a plaque and a gift check from PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde. The coronation night was held on Monday night, April 23, at the PNP multi-purpose center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Cajocon, as the pageant winner, will serve as the Goodwill Ambassadress to promote and advocate PNP’s Recovery and Wellness Program (RWP) and the PNP Memorandum Circular No. 30-2017 entitled “Community-Based Rehabilitation Program”.

She will also promote other projects and programs of the PNP, such as those on women and children and tourism through Tourist-Oriented Police for Community Order and Protection (TOPCOP).

The other winners of the major awards were the following: PO2 May Shell J. Oro of PRO-10 (Northern Mindanao), Miss Maka-Diyos 2018 (God-fearing); PO1 Elymor Chrysma V. Caberto of PROCOR (Cordillera), Miss Makabayan 2018 (nationalist); PO1 Cris T. Pastores, PRO ARMM (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao), Miss Makatao 2018 (Humane); and, PO1 Ann Jerica Buenafe of PRO-3 (Central Luzon), Miss Makalikasan 2018 (Environmentalist).

Special awards were also given to following: PO1 Cris T. Pastores of PRO-ARMM, Best in Advocacy and Miss Photogenic; PO2 Ria Angelley P. Bero of PRO-4B (Mimaropa), Best in Talent; and PO1 Gearlyn Paga of PRO-4A (Calabarzon), Miss Congeniality

The contestants came from the 16 regional offices, national support units (NSUs) and the five districts of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

The pageant is part of strengthening public advocacy in support of the observance of the 2018 National Women’s Month Celebration and seeks to provide due recognition to the roles of policewomen as builders of good relationships with the community.
