A FOUNDATION on Sunday, July 13, 2025, donated 40 heads of free-range chicken, boosting the sustainability and agriculture program of the 45th Infantry Battalion (45IB) in Basilan province.
The 11th Infantry Division (11ID), which has jurisdiction over the 45IB said Monday, July 14, that the free-range chicken were donated by the Katilingbanong Pamahandi Sa Mindanaw Foundation Incorporated (KPMFI).
"This donation serves as a significant boost to the battalion's sustainability and agriculture program, which aims to provide fresh food sources and promote self-reliance among the troops as they fulfill their mission," the 11ID said.
The 11ID said the chicken will be placed in the Cafgu-Han Demo-Farm area, complementing the ongoing "Gulayan sa Kampo" project, where they will be cared for and raised as part of efforts to ensure food security and enhance the welfare of soldiers and militiamen.
The donation reflects KPFMI's steadfast commitment to supporting the military in maintaining operational readiness and troop well-being.
The 45IB deeply appreciated the unwavering support of the KPFMI, whose partnership not only sustains the morale of the troops but also strengthens collaborative efforts toward peace, development, and agricultural sustainability in Ungkaya Pukan. (SunStar Zamboanga)
