THE City Government of Isabela in Basilan province launched a three-day Youth Week Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile tournament in line with the celebration of Youth Week 2025.

The tournament was launched on Sunday, August 10, in Barangay Sunrise, Isabela City, through the Youth Development Office led by Levinia Jarelone.

Isabela City Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) president Naila Belleng said the tournament aims to serve as a platform for youth who are passionate about e-sports to showcase their skills, strategies, and unity as a team.

Belleng said the SK Tabuk immediately rose up the leaderboard after securing the Top 2 in Game 1, followed by back-to-back Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) wins in Game 2 and Game 3 on the first night of the tournament.

“The team proved their strong coordination and tactical skills, leading them to the top of the points table in the opening round of the tournament,” Belleng said.

She said the Linggo ng Kabataan PUBG Mobile Tournament will run for three days, with the competition expected to intensify in the upcoming matches as each team strives to capture the coveted championship this 2025. (SunStar Zamboanga)
