AN ALLEGED "big time" drug personality was arrested, while P130,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Monday, August 17.
Police Brigadier General Jesus Cambay Jr., Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Jeric Mangubat Obina, 31, a resident of Baliangao, Misamis Occidental.
Cambay said Obina was nabbed in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Sunday in Purok 5 in Santa Isabel village, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Recovered from Obina were P130,000 worth of shabu packed in nine transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets, illegal drug paraphernalia and marked money.
Cambay said the suspect is detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
