ONE person died in a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle along the national highway in Zamboanga del Norte, the police said Thursday, February 6.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the fatality as Elesio Diacoma, 53, a resident of Sitio Deques in Poblacion Village, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Galvez said the incident happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Dos, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte.
She added that Diacoma was driving a motorcycle when he collided with a pickup truck driven by Rober Ladion, 22, who was traveling on the opposite direction.
She said Diacoma was rushed to the Zanorte Medical Center but did not make it alive. (SunStar Zamboanga)
