A TOTAL of 174 have graduated on a crash course on Bangsamoro peace and democracy as the peace stabilization effort continues in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm).

The graduates have received their completion certificate in a graduation ceremony Thursday, June 29, in Cotabato City.

In a message read by Senior Minister Abunawas Maslamama, Barmm Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim expressed his aspirations, emphasizing the course will genuinely support their cadre officers and communities in establishing a cohesive and strong foundation for the government.

“Remember that this graduation is not the end of your journey; rather, this is the beginning of your productive journey in helping the government of the day achieve peace-loving citizens and continue transforming Bangsamoro communities,” Ebrahim said in his statement.

Ebrahim said the Government of the Day will always support all endeavors that complement the government's efforts.

“The Bangsamoro Government remains steadfast in its commitment to attaining everlasting peace, progress, and unity in the Bangsamoro territory," he added.

The School of Peace and Democracy-Bangsamoro (SPD-B) is a short-term course designed to provide members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front-Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (MILF-BIAF) and women leaders an opportunity to the Bangsamoro peace process, social cohesion, and community resilience among others.

The Peace, Security, and Reconciliation Office (PSRO) of the Ebrahim’s office, with technical assistance from the Development Academy of the Bangsamoro and support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Australian Embassy in Manila, implemented the project. (SunStar Zamboanga)
