2 farmers’ cooperatives receive P5-M farm tools

TWO Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in the province of Zamboanga del Norte have received P5 million worth of farm tools from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Arturo Soria, Zamboanga del Norte provincial agrarian reform officer, said the beneficiaries of the farm tools are the Cabong, Tampilisan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Catamco) and Camul Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Carbemco).

Soria said the two ARBOs are into rubber farming and production in the village of Galingon in Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The farm tools they received were as follows: eight units chain saw; 10 units auger; eight grass cutters; 45,000 latex cups; 45,000 spouts; 45,000 cup holders; 21 units weighing scales; 60 knapsack-type sprayers; 450 pruning shears; 450 units sharpening hone; 450 units manual hand digger; 150 units wheel barrow; 600 units shovel; 585 units digging bar; and, 1000 coagulating vats.

Soria said the distribution of farm tools will enable the two ARBOS to have sufficient production and increase income. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
