2 fugitives arrested in Zamboanga Sibugay

THE police have arrested two notorious persons, including one tagged as most wanted person, in manhunt operations in Zamboanga Sibugay province, the police said Tuesday, June 12.

The Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office identified them as Jomar Aukasa, 28, and Marlous Saplid, 19.

The police said Aukasa was arrested by joint police and military forces around 10 p.m. Monday in Tigpalay village, Tungawan.

The police said Aukasa has standing warrant of arrest for three-count murder with no bail recommended and two other arrest warrants also for the crime of murder with no recommended bail.

Saplid was arrested by policemen around 9:30 a.m. Monday at Purok 6 in Agutayan village, Buug.

The police said that Saplid is listed as the number five most wanted person in the town of Buug and has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no bail recommended. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
