TWO newly-identified drug personalities were arrested while some P40,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in two separate drug busts in Zamboanga City, a top police official said Sunday, December 30.
Charlie Ancajas, 32, and Sabri Dolong, 33, were arrested separately on Saturday, December 29.
Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said Ancajas was arrested in a drug bust around 6:10 p.m. Saturday, December 29, in Sitio Sarangani, San Jose Gusu.
Confiscated from the possession of the suspect were some P30,000 worth of suspected shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, packed in 15 small, two medium and four large sizes heat-sealed plastic sachets, P200 marked money, and illegal drug paraphernalia.
Dolong was arrested in another drug bust around 1 p.m. Saturday at a housing site in the village of Sangali, Zamboanga City.
Seized from the possession of Dolong were some P10,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in six heat-sealed plastic sachets, P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills and an empty pack of cigarette.
He said the two suspects were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them. (SunStar Philippines)
