5 PUIs, 93 PUMs cleared in Zamboanga City

THE City Health Office announced that five patients under investigation (PUI) and 93 persons under monitoring (PUM) have been cleared since January, this year, based on the tests conducted by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, City Health Office chief, said Saturday, March 21, that the five were among the 28 PUIs they have recorded since January in this city.

Miravite said the findings of the other 14 remain pending with the RITM while remaining nine “have yet to be swabbed.”

She said those 93 cleared from monitoring, they were among the 527 PUMs registered since January.

Some of the PUIs are admitted in the hospitals while the others are on home quarantine, she added.

THE CHO chief explained that the PUIs on home quarantine are those with mild symptoms.
