OPERATIVES of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have arrested an elderly individual charged for falsification of public documents in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the CIDG reported Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Rex Perocho, CIDG-Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Field Office chief, identified the arrested person as Claudio Deripaz, Jr., 74.

Perocho said Deripaz was arrested in CIDG’s campaign against wanted persons dubbed as Oplan Pagtugis around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, in Tiguian village, Margosatibug, Zamboanga del Sur.

He said Deripaz has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of falsification of public documents with P36,000 recommended bail dated November 9, 2022 issued by the court of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

Perocho said the case against Deripaz stemmed after he sold a parcel of agricultural farm to his nephew using falsified documents.
