The flow of event was as follows: 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. registration; 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., short opening program; 6:30 a.m. start of run; and 8 a.m., closing program with maximum fitness exercises in front of the Santa Catalina village hall.

Pagotaisidro said the event was participated by uniformed personnel, village officials and leaders, government employees, non-government organizations, concerned individuals and environmentalists.

It is organized by the local government through the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources in partnership with the United Leaders for Social Development, Inc.

Pagotaisidro said the main objective of the activity, which is held every quarter, is to make people aware of the importance of throwing garbage in proper bins to maintain cleanliness and to prevent flooding. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
