EMB backs city government’s cleanliness program

THE Zamboanga City Government’s cleanliness program gets more boost with the support from the different agencies and sectors.

Rodrigo Pagotaisidro, public service officer, said the latest to respond to the call for support was the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Pagotaisidro donated 20 large trash bins to help augment the garbage collection receptacles.

He presented to Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar and City Administrator Marie Angelique Go the trash bins in a ceremonial turnover held in City Hall.

The public service officer said the trash bins will be distributed in the different parts of the main public market and the Sta. Cruz Market in line with the city’s intensified cleanliness drive.

The city government has started implementation of the Ordinance 279 otherwise known as the Solid Waste Management Ordinance with the urgent call for support and cooperation of all sectors and stakeholders. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
