Fisherman arrested in anti-drug ops

A FISHERMAN was arrested while some P3,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police said Friday, September 21.

The Police Station 3 identified the arrested suspect as Chardon Fernandez, a newly-identified drug personality.

The police said the suspect was arrested in a drug bust around 6 p.m. Thursday at Sitio Cambodia in of Sangali village, this city.

Confiscated from the suspect were P3,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in three heat-sealed plastic sachets, P300 marked money consisting of thre P100 bills and an identification card, the police said.

The suspect was detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him, the police said. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
