A FARM worker was hit by stray bullet after unidentified gunmen attacked a military detachment in Basilan province, the police reported Friday, June 16, 2023.
The attack took place around 9:50 a.m. Friday, June 16, at the detachment of the 15th Scout Ranger Company (SRC) under the 5th Scout Ranger Battalion in Materling village, Ungkaya Pukan, Basilan.
The Ungkaya Pukan police identified the stray bullet victim as Aragon Abon, 38, who was slightly injured.
The Area Police Command-Western Mindanao (APC-WM) said there was no reported casualty from the personnel of the 15SRC during the attack.
The APC-WM said the Ungkaya Pukan police is investigation the incident to determine the motive as well as the identities of the attackers.
The police have tightened security in Ungkaya Pukan to ensure the safety of the residents. (SunStar Zamboanga)
