A MILITIAMAN was arrested in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Friday, November 18, 2022.
Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspect as Jay Mar Saavedra, 27, a member of the Special Cafgu Active Auxiliary (SCAA) in Tictapul village, Zamboanga City.
Lorenzo said Saavedra was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8:27 p.m. Thursday, November 17, in Tumaga village, Zamboanga City.
He said Saavedra is a high-value individual and is in the anti-drug watch list of the ZCPO.
Lorenzo said recovered from the suspect were a gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800, three pieces aluminum foils, a plastic container, and P200 marked money.
He said the suspect was detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
