A PERSON Deprived of Liberty (PDL) succumbed to possible heat stroke Sunday in Zamboanga City, the police reported.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the PDL as Badjiran Agiran, 51, a resident of Mariki village.
Galvez said that Agiran lost consciousness shortly after 8 a.m., Sunday, when the latter complained that he is not feeling well and was rushed to the hospital.
However, Galvez said the attending physician declared Agiran dead on arrival and the possible cause of death was heat stroke.
Agiran was detained at the headquarters of Police Station 11 for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Galvez said the attending physician took into consideration of swabbing the PDL for coronavirus disease test. (SunStar Philippines)
