THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula has appointed Police Captain Edwin Duco as the new spokesperson and public information officer (PIO) effective Friday, July 24.

Duco, who served as the spokesperson of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), replaced Police Major Helen Galvez, who was assigned to the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame.

Galvez also served as ZCPO spokesperson before she was designated as the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer.

The order naming Duco to his new position was signed by Police Colonel Neri Vincent Ignacio, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula chief of the regional staff.

Duco said he is thankful for the trust and confidence given him to be assigned as the new spokesperson.
