THE Philippine Statistics Authority of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-Barmm) is ready for the conduct next month of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH).
PSA-Barmm Regional Director Razulden Mangelen said Friday, August 28, 2020, that they have hired 5,000 enumerators to conduct the census in Barmm.
Mangelen said the enumerators will be equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and will strictly follow the minimum health standards while conducting a house-to-house survey.
Barmm Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim has urged residents of the region to cooperate and support the 2020 CPH by answering with accurate information.
Ebrahim said it will be vital in the development of policies and programs for the Barmm.
Mangelen echoed Ebrahim’s statement and called for the public’s understanding in conducting the census amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.
“Layunin nitong makakuha ng tamang datos na siyang gagamitin ng ating pamahalaan, mapa lokal man, national o pribado, sa pagbabalangkas ng mga polisiya at programa para sa ating mga lugar,” Mangelen added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
