‘Surrenderer’ nabbed in anti-drug sting in Zamboanga

A DRUG surrenderer was arrested in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Monday, July 11.

Police Colonel Albert Larubis, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the arrested drug surrenderer as Geordan Tagalog, 22, who works as a room boy at a hotel in Ipil town.

Larubis said that Tagalog was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8:35 p.m. Sunday, July 10, in Purok Gumamela in Taway village, Ipil, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay province.

He said recovered from the possession of Tagalog were some P4,284 worth of suspected shabu and P520 marked money.

He said the suspect was detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
