TROOPS of the Joint Task Force (JTF)-Sulu joined the firefighters challenge of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the province of Sulu, a BFP official said.
The firefighters’ challenge was held Saturday, March 11, in Bangkal village, Patikul, Sulu.
Senior Inspector Jayson Ahijon, acting Sulu provincial fire marshal, said the challenge was held as part of the BFP’s fire prevention month campaign.
Ahijon said that the participating agencies undertaken various tests to gain the necessary skills and knowledge in responding to fire incidents.
Aside from the JTF-Sulu troops, the other participants of the activity were the Sulu Police Provincial Office; Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office; Philippine National Police-Special Action Force; Philippine Coast Guard; and, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
