A RETIRED soldier, listed as one of the most wanted persons in Bicol Region, was arrested in a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Monday, August 7, 2023.
Arrested in a law enforcement operation was Abelardo Geneblazo, 67, a retired Air Force, according to Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director.
Lorenzo said Geneblazo was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 2:45 a.m. Monday, August 7, in Mangusu village, Zamboanga City.
He said Geneblazo has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with no recommended bail issued by a court in Sorsogon City dated November 17, 2016.
Lorenzo said that Geneblazo is listed as the number one most wanted person in Casiguran, Sorsogon, and the 10th most wanted person in Bicol Region.
Geneblazo was arrested by policemen from Sorsogon and this city, including Special Action Force personnel.
The accused is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 prior turn-over to court concerned. (SunStar Zamboanga)
