ZAMBOANGA City now has a new budget officer.
She is Geraldine Macatangan-de la Paz, who was appointed by Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar.
De La Paz has assumed as the new City Budget Officer following her appointment and oath-taking on Wednesday, January 30.
Salazar said that De la Paz, was the assistant budget officer and was designated Officer-in-charge budget officer in the middle of 2018 upon the retirement of Ferdinando Alvarez, the then budget officer.
The chief executive said that prior to her stint at the City Budget Office, de la Paz was former chief of the Internal Audit Division under the Office of the Mayor.
With her experience, Salazar believes De La Paz will be able to perform her mandated tasks. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
