THE City Government of Zamboanga has appointed a new assistant city veterinarian.
Named as the new assistant city veterinarian is Dr. Arcadio Cavan, Jr., replacing Dr. Arnedo Agbayani, who retired from government service several months ago.
Dr. Mario Arriola, Office of the City Veterinarian (OCVet) chief, said Cavan was sworn into office by Mayor John Dalipe on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
The oath-taking rites of Cavan, which was held at the conference room of City Hall was also witnessed by Roderico Jose Lucero, the City Human Resource and Management Officer, aside from Arriola.
Meanwhile, also sworn into office on Tuesday, August 15, by Dalipe were 18 newly-hired workers and a newly-promoted city government personnel.
They are assigned at the offices of City Administrator, Civil Registrar, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, City Engineer, City General Service, City Health, Human Resources and Management, City Mayor, Social Welfare and Development, and OCVet.
Of the 19 who took their oath, 11 are occupying regular, contractual, and co-terminus positions while the remaining eight are job order employees.(SunStar Zamboanga)
