LAWMEN have arrested the third most wanted person in Zamboanga del Sur in a law enforcement operation in Cagayan de Oro City, the police said Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the arrested wanted person as Andy Gumaga Lahagan, a resident of Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur.
Lahagan was nabbed in a law enforcement operation through the implementation of warrant of arrest around 8:21 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, along Julio Pacana Street in Puntod village, Cagayan de Oro City.
The police said Lahagan has a standing warrant of arrest with no recommendation bail for the crime of nine counts qualified rape of a minor issued by a court in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
Lahagan was immediately brought to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office for proper disposition.
Lahagan was arrested by joint police operatives of Cagayan de Oro City and from town of Lapuyan and Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit.
The PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula said it remains committed to ensuring that justice is served and continuing the efforts to apprehend individuals facing serious charges. (SunStar Zamboanga)
