AUTHORITIES arrested in a law enforcement operation one of the most wanted persons in the province of Tawi-Tawi, the police said Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (Pro-BAR) director, identified the arrested most wanted person through his alias as Reny, of legal age.
De Guzman said Reny was arrested in a law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest on Monday, August 11, in Kulape village, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi.
“Acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, police operatives proceeded to Barangay Kulape, where they served to the suspect the warrant of arrest for murder,” De Guzman reported, adding: “The warrant carried a no-bail recommendation.”
He said Reny is listed as the number two most wanted person in the municipality of Panglima Sugala.
He said the suspect was properly informed of his constitutional rights upon arrest and is currently under the custody of the Panglima Sugala Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition.
He commended the operating units for their swift action and emphasized the importance of the crucial role of community cooperation in the success of police operations, underscoring that strong partnerships between law enforcement and the public are essential to the campaign against all forms of criminality.
