THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the concreting of a P30-million access road leading to one of Mutia municipality’s top natural attractions in Zamboanga del Norte.

The newly paved 1.1-kilometer road provides improved access to Baga Falls and is expected to boost local tourism and economic activity.

“The project is seen as a cornerstone for sustainable tourism in the area,” the DPWH-Zamboanga Peninsula said in a statement.

“By improving accessibility and ensuring safer, more convenient travel for visitors, it is expected to encourage more foot traffic to the falls and other nearby destinations,” it added.

The project was implemented by the DPWH First District Engineering Office based in Segabe, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte. (SunStar Zamboanga)
