
THE National Government, through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), has completed the concreting of a P30 million farm-to-market road (FMR) project in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.
The DPWH-Zamboanga Peninsula said Wednesday, May 28, the one-kilometer FMR concreting project was implemented in Sikitan village, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte.
The DPWH-Zamboanga Peninsula said the Sikitan-Luzvilla FMR concreting project connects to the village of Dilawa of the same town.
“It is expected to boost accessibility, spur economic activity and improve the quality of life in the area,” the DPWH-Zamboanga Peninsula said in a statement.
The P30 million funds for the implementation of the project came from the General Appropriations Act of 2024.
The project was implemented by the First District Engineering Office of DPWH in Zamboanga del Norte. (SunStar Zamboanga)
