AUTHORITIES arrested four suspects as they dismantled a drug den in a law enforcement operation in the province of Maguindanao del Sur, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Saturday, August 22, 2026.
The PDEA in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-Barmm) identified the arrested suspects through their aliases as Jerry, 48, the drug den maintainer; Ali, 58; Raj, 32; and, Teddy, 48.
The PDEA-Barmm said the suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, August 18, in Purok 1, Upper Siling village, Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur.
Seized during the operation were some eight grams of suspected shabu packed in 16 transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P54,400.
Also recovered were the buy-bust money, three mobile phones, one identification card, and various drug paraphernalia.
The suspects were detained at PDEA-Barmm Jail Facility pending the filing of charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The anti-drug operation was launched by the PDEA- Maguindanao Provincial Office with the support of police units and of the Army’s 21st Mechanized Company. (SunStar Zamboanga)
