AUTHORITIES have arrested a high-value target (HVT) and seized P340,000 worth of illegal drugs in a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga Sibugay, an official said Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Maharani Gadaoni-Tosoc, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Khaleed Aquilan, 22.
Gadaoni-Tosoc said Aquilan was nabbed in a law enforcement operation around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, in Kitabog village, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Seized from Aquilan were 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000 and various drug paraphernalia used in repacking and distribution of illegal drugs.
Later on, a follow-up search warrant operation around 3:20 p.m. in the same area led to the confiscation of additional 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000.
Gadaoni-Tosoc said Aquilan was detained and charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
She said the implementation of the search warrant was with the support of the Titay Municipal Police Station, and 106th Infantry Battalion. (SunStar Zamboanga)
