AUTHORITIES have seized some P680,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a known drug personality in an anti-drug operation in Maguindanao del Norte, police said Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), identified the arrested suspect as alias Rajah, tagged as a high-value individual (HVI).
De Guzman said Rajah was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dalumngcob, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, on Tuesday, July 1.
Seized from the suspect were around 100 grams of suspected shabu packed in two heat-sealed plastic sachets, a motorcycle with no registered plate number, and buy-bust money.
The suspect was detained, and charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
De Guzman reaffirmed the police’s strong stance against illegal drugs and its continued focus on high-value targets to ensure public safety. (SunStar Zamboanga)
