SELECTED personnel of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-1 (MBLT-1) have completed the Squad Designated Marksmanship Training, a specialized course that hones skilled riflemen into precision shooters.
The training, which culminated on Tuesday, June 10, was held at Naval Station Rio Hondo that houses the MBLT-1 headquarters in Rio Hondo village, Zamboanga City.
“This training enhances our unit’s ability to deliver accurate, lethal firepower at the squad level, significantly boosting combat effectiveness,” the MBLT-1 said in a statement.
Captain Larry Cendaña, Zamboanga Coast Guard Station commander, the guest of honor and speaker of the training’s graduation underscored in his remarks the critical role of marksmanship in modern warfare.
Cendaña commended the graduates for their commitment, as well as the instructors for their exceptional professionalism throughout the training.
The marksmanship training marked another step in MBLT-1’s continuous pursuit of excellence, ensuring that when the call comes, “we respond with discipline, speed, and precision.”
