AN AGRARIAN Reform Beneficiaries Organization (ARBO) from Zamboanga Sibugay province has received approximately P1.4 million worth of farm machinery and equipment from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), boosting its agricultural produce and income.
DAR-Zamboanga Peninsula said the recipient ARBO of the farm inputs is the Bulawan Agri-Business and Multipurpose Association, Incorporated (BABAMPA) of Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The farm machinery and equipment include one unit rice combine harvester, one hand tractor with implements, and 15 units of two-in-one manual and electric backpack sprayers.
“This intervention aims to support the productivity of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in major crop areas, boosting agricultural yield and income,” DAR-Zamboanga Sibugay said in a statement.
“The project aims to uplift the lives of its members and other agrarian reform beneficiaries through sustainable livelihood support,” it added.
Before the turnover of the farm machinery and equipment on Thursday, May 29, officials of BABAMPA and DAR-Zamboanga Sibugay signed a Memorandum and Trust Agreements, formalizing the commitment to shared responsibilities and ensuring the sustainability of the assistance provided.
DAR-Zamboanga Sibugay turned over the farm inputs to BABAMPA through the Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD) under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program (CRFPSP) and its Major Crop-Based Block Farm Productivity Enhancement (MCBFPE) component. (SunStar Zamboanga)
