THE Social Security System (SSS) has designated the Liloy Digital Transformation Center (LDTC) as a new access point for SSS services, aiming to expand its reach to last-mile communities.
The initiative is in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The SSS-DICT collaboration is part of the SSS E-Wheels Program, a nationwide effort that brings SSS services closer to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (Gidas) by providing constituents with convenient access to digital services.
Vincent Trani, head of the SSS Dipolog Branch, said Wednesday, July 2, that a representative from his office is assigned to the LDTC every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist walk-in clients with their SSS transactions. These include member data verification, assistance with My.SSS registration, benefit and loan eligibility inquiries, submission of supporting documents, and guidance on online filing procedures.
“Through our partnership with DICT, we can bring SSS services closer here in Liloy and nearby towns to ensure that no member is left behind in accessing their SSS benefits,” Trani said in a statement.
Since the initiative began in September 2024, Trani said SSS’s presence at the LDTC has served 1,058 walk-in clients and facilitated 2,145 SSS-related transactions—reflecting strong community engagement and growing demand for accessible government services.
“By bringing SSS services closer to where our clients live and work, we are making it easier for them to stay compliant and informed,” he added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
