
THE Zamboanga City Government released some P2.9 million worth of cash incentives to 586 septuagenarians from 12 of Zamboanga City’s 98 villages on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The cash incentive to septuagenarians is granted under City Ordinance 609, also known as the “Septuagenarian Benefit Ordinance of Zamboanga City.”
City Hall Public Information Office said Monday, June 16, that each qualified septuagenarian is granted P5,000, to help cover their health and medical expenses.
The septuagenarians are senior citizens, who are 70 to 79 years old.
The beneficiary septuagenarians during the June 15 payout were from the villages under the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)-Field Office 2.
The beneficiaries of Sunday’s payout are as follows: 155, Baliwasan; 42, Kampung Islam; 15, Kasanyangan; seven, Mariki; 17, Rio Hondo; 124, Sta. Catalina; 32, Sta. Barbara; 66, San Jose Gusu; 78, San Jose Cawa-Cawa; seven, Sto. Niño; 27, Zone 1; and, 16, Zone 2.
